EMD 9059 Alton 17 Apr 07 - a photo on Flickriver

EMD 9059 leads the eastbound M-GFDNTW (Grand Forks, ND - Northtown, MN) by the Alton Grain Terminal in Alton, ND along the Hillsboro Sub. To the right is the grain terminal's resident switcher, DLSX 2307, a former NS SW1500, who is working a string of hoppers. Interestingly, the two Oakways on this train would be cut off in Dilworth and added to this particular day's M-DILGFD.

This was a highlight day for me. All told, I stumbled across 21 trains in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota. This train was #5 on the list. Here are some others I've already uploaded to Flickr:
