Flickriver

            EMDX 802 leads the westbound Devils Lake Local out the BNSF Devils Lake Sub in Emerado, ND.  This train would switch some rock cars in town before processing west.

In the mid-2000s, Grand Forks had locals that ran in all cardinal directions out of town.  The Devils Lake Local as well as the Mayville Local were the ones that came west of town.  All of these locals were pretty much always powered by 4-axle Geeps.  I never really minded these EMDX leasers as they just added to the variety of colors you could see.  As prominent as they seemed to be, they disappeared just as fast.  I did see them in CO after I moved there from ND, but it seemed like they were gone in the blink of an eye.
