ARR 3010 Indian 17 Feb 13 - a photo on Flickriver

            A southbound freight fronted by three GP40-2s slinks by on its way to Whittier and a waiting barge.

Conditions were not ideal this morning, but it was nice to get out and chase.  I have video of this train along the way, but this was the only time I had the DSLR out of the bag.

There was also a southbound to Seward coming out of Anchorage on the heels of this train, but this was the one to chase.  This is the first time I've caught Geeps leading a freight south of Anchorage plus the train itself was waaaaaay more interesting.  The Seward train had two MACs up front and just a long string of empty flats.
