Adonis Blue ~ Polyommatus bellargus - a photo on Flickriver

            An excellent day up on Draycott sleights bug spotting with Steve... Well, excellent till I tore my calve muscle, which slowed me up somewhat. Lots of Butterflies, the first Small blue of the year and my first Adonis blue. And a surprising number of Common blues. A good day for bees and wasps, too.  I've always failed to find Adonis blues when I've been looking. Seen three today. Just got to get the 'wings open' dorsal view shot. That will have to wait till my leg feels up to it.
