Slow down and catch the sunset! - a photo on Flickriver

It sure has been a while sense I have been to La Jolla for a sunset! I am missing them all, this sure is the time of year for the most amazing colors and what not! Today, I was going through some old archive images, and processing, or putting on the external hard drive. My hard drive is FULL and I need to make room for the larger fie sizes! So, while looking around, I spotted this one and wanted to share. I already shared a few from this sunset, but I did not like the way I processed them. That one cloud was WAY too saturated! SO this time around, using some new things I learned in LightRoom3, I was able to tone down a bit the intense colors! Believe you me, this IS less saturated! This was also one of the last sunsets that I have been to that was no only amazing, but also with my Cokin filters, which adds more pink tones. So the pinks become fire! Or red, which ever color you want to call it. When all was said and done with this one, I did not want to take away too much saturation, I had the rocks and that lovely yellow to contend with!

OH, and there were a few who showed interest in my little "contest" yesterday, with Lady Luna. I was thinking of putting up another contest next week too, so let me know if its something you like or don't care about! :D I think it would be fun and different.

Geek talk: For this, It was a while ago, but I am pretty sure, due to the exposure time, I used the B+W ND106 filter and the Cokin hard grad filter.
