English Defence League-rally in support of Israel

            Outside the Israeli Embassy.

About 300 EDL supporters held a peaceful pro-Israeli rally outside the Israeli Embassy in London. Speakers include Rabbi Nachum Shifren a Tea Party activist from America. About 20 anti-facist supporters held a counter demonstration. Before the Rabbi spoke, there was an attempt to damage the EDL's public address equipment by pouring water into it.

After the rally, the Rabbi spoke at Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park with about 60 EDL supporters in attendance. This generally passed off peacefully until a further small group of EDL supporters arrived and overturned Muslim speakers tables and literature. After this the EDL supporters were kettled and moved towards Hyde Park Corner.

There were 3 arrests.
