Robin Hoods Bay from above. - a photo on Flickriver

            This shows the majority of houses in the old village, down towards the sea.  I can live with the distortion from the camera but hope to learn how to lessen it. About one third of the bay [200 meters long] is seen here and the curved "Scaurs" [or Scars] in the hard Oolite bedrock [formed in the Jurassic period] were created by various types of erosion. Coastal erosion is a major issue in the bay and with our shoreline in general People love to live close to the sea but we're losing land every year at a scary rate. I'm really enjoying documenting our lovely coastline with this new technology. It has become something of a project and with seasonal and daily changes in light and conditions so many options are wonderful. The aircraft gives unique views and helps to show how beautiful this area is. When I bought the Mini 4 Pro I hoped to use it to widen my photographic range and to give me another inspiration for shots through the summer months and onwards through the year. My drone was attacked by a bird while taking these shots, which gave me quite a scare. I can normally dodge them but got hit this time. The device is so fragile with fantastic technology packed into something as heavy as a smart phone. If the camera or gimble take a blow it will become a useless piece of plastic. I'm waiting to see what the Mini 5 Pro is like, considering an upgrade with more photogrphic punch. For the Eagle-eyed, the Union flag [bottom left] is on the roof of a Mini, I could have cropped it out but think it has a quirky place in the shot!
