Helhoughton All Saints Norfolk - a photo on Flickriver

            The Norfolk Open Churches booklet is a marvellous book, from modest beginnings it now lists almost 500 churches in Norfolk which open daily, or rather proclaim they are open daily, I’ve found a few exceptions to this, I suspect some churchwardens don’t like to admit they keep their churches locked so reply to the office in Norwich positively, then sit back and do nothing, maybe Helhoughton falls into this trap. Or maybe it was just an off day, I don’t know, all I do know is that all Saints was locked up tight when I called and there were no keyholder details on the modest notice board. A glimpse through the clear glass windows showed me I was missing little.
