Not the Iconic Grand Canyon - a photo on Flickriver

            Deep in the Grand Canyon is Havasupai Falls, a set of waterfalls that can only be reached by a 10-mile backpack journey (or an 8-minute helicopter ride). There is an Indian village and several huge waterfalls here, and the area is a far cry from the iconic arid Grand Canyon that most people are familiar with. We spent three days here, and amazingly we weren't even charged entry fees. We had the entire campground to ourselves--mid-winter is definitely the time to visit.
