Wind Turbine Star Trails - a photo on Flickriver

            I recently assisted with a commercial shoot of a GE prototype wind turbine. Unlike my previous wind farm adventures, which generally involved setting up cameras at fences and running away from security who would assume we're terrorists in the middle of the night, this time we were permitted through security and could get as close to the wind turbines as we wanted. This image is a stack of ~60 1-minute exposures from a timelapse sequence. The turbine was illuminated by cars driving by on the nearby highway.
