Byron Hot Springs 2 - a photo on Flickriver

            Byron Hot Springs is an abandoned estate located in Byron, CA. A 5-star hotel was built in 1913 and failed in 1938. The property was leased to the US government in 1941 as an interrogation center for both German and Japanese POWs. Following the war, in 1947, the Greek Orthodox Church bought the property. Since that time, it has served as a resort, country club, and private residence. The building is basically gutted on the inside and has been slated for destruction since 2008.

This panorama of the side of the building was generated by stitching 4 vertical photos. The detail in the full-resolution version is amazing.
