Flickriver

            The first bits of color are lighting up the harbor in Rockport, Massachusetts on October 11th, 2015. Motif No. 1 forms the background.

Found this file while I was re-editing a humpback whale breach from this trip. On the old Photo.net (back when Philip Greenspun was in charge), I remember him writing an article that extolled the virtues of Cape Ann as a better destination for photographers than Cape Cod. I'm glad that I read that back then and actually visited while Amanda was living in Boston.

Meanwhile, I think I neglected posting this for so long due to the approximately 3,126,856 dust spots I had to clean up. The D600 has a lot of virtues but that thing was the biggest dust magnet EVER. And that's coming from someone who's used the original Canon 5D and the Pentax K100D.
