Fireworks at Britannia 20 April 2013

            Unmitigated disaster. Tonight saw the worst lens choice for a shot in the history of photography. It was never going to be an easy shot trying to get the Britannia fireworks. The Western Harbour doesn't exactly have ease of access for locations, mainly fenced well in and with the fireworks set up well away from Britannia to get the boat in shot and none of the other quayside gubbings was a mission impossible. Compound that by only taking one camera with a 70-200mm f2.8 on it and then realising with no time to change it was too much zoom even at 70mm it wasn't my finest moment. Big fireworks, not a hope, smaller ones, yes but only half a boat. This is 2 shots to get the whole thing.
