Come closer my pretty one - a photo on Flickriver

            Probably best known as the Carneverous Orchid  it is one of the most astonishing plants in the world. A relative of the orchids, this remarkable species belongs to the Orchids Family.  When triggered by the scent of a Human, the leaf blade extends small highly toxic bards and emits a pleasing and luring scent.  As the victim approaches the plant, it often springs forward up to 18 inches.  A fringe of stiff hairs around the edge of the blade secrete acids which it uses to consume the prey over the period of several hours. 
While they are extremely rare,  they are usually found in closets and under the beds of over imaginative children.
