Virgo in Bullet Holes on Pink Wall - a photo on Flickriver

            This work is dedicated to my great friend Kevin Patrick Joseph Madden. Kevin has been my friend since we first played Little League baseball together almost 50 years ago. 
Our first conversation followed Kevin making a rare error at shortstop that rolled into left field. 
I bobbled the ball. 
After I threw the ball back to the infield I walked up to Kevin and said, "I have a hard time fielding ground balls so if you ever make another error I am going to kick your ass."
My pep talk improved his defensive play immeasurably. 
He fielded his position like Ozzie Smith, the great St. Louis Cardinals shortstop, for the rest of the season.
Kevin has made me laugh almost every single day for almost 50 years.
I am blessed to have a friend as smart, funny, loyal and patient as Kevin and I know it.
