Mobsby Memorial at Indooroopilly, Brisbane, Qld - unveiled 2 December 2017

The Indooroopilly Historical Society has created a memorial on the corner of Clarence Road and Keating Street, Indooroopilly where a boy named Arthur Mobsby drowned in 1905. His father Henry Mobsby, was a Queensland Government artist and photographer, and a great ambassador for the state of Queensland.
He was well known in the community and was a founding member of the Indooroopilly Masonic Lodge. He also held many fund-raising evenings for the local state school, where he donated a gold medal and book prize every year in memory of his son Arthur who had been a student at the school at the time of his death.
