My kids on a hill in the Nith valley

            I opened an old case belonging to my father and I found a photo I must have sent him in the early 80's

It perplexed me that my children should be sitting so quietly and staring down the Nith valley.

The hill they are sitting on is Corsen Con, and the hairpin river below is the Nith.

Sometimes Corsen Con was covered in clouds and the saying went.
"When Corsen Con's got on its hat,
Ye ken it's a sign it's gonna be wat "
