            I still have not worked out how to get the best from this camera. It really annoys me having to convert the RAW images using Sigma Photo Pro before I can process them in Lightroom. One thing that I discovered today is that in general it is not a good idea to use the clarity adjustment in LR. Maybe I should take the time to experiment with SPP.

I have come across an application that can accept DP3 RAW files it is marketed as Iridient Developer some people really like it but the results that I have achieved with it are not much different to what I am getting using my current two stage process so I am not willing to pay for additional software.

At its best the DP3 can produce amazing photographs but I am having  lots of problems with colour saturation and distortion … I never realised there were so many redheads in Dublin. If a photograph is underexposed attempting to recover detail in Lightroom results in noise becoming apparent and then the LR noise adjustments result in unattractive images.
