Trinacria -Erice-Sicilia ...explore - a photo on Flickriver

            Estos son recuerdos para turistas que se venden en toda la isla , aquí vemos la La Trinacria...ésta, fue adoptada en febrero del 2000 por el Parlamento siciliano como parte integrante de la bandera siciliana, donde ha sido colocada al centro, entre el rojo y el oro de la bandera  .Además de ser el símbolo del sol y la geografía, la Trinacria es también un símbolo de la fuerza, abundancia y fertilidad de la tierra.
Los primeros griegos llegados a la isla , sicanios y sículos, denominaron Trinacria a Sicilia por su forma triangular. Inicialmente estaba compuesta por la cabeza de la medusa y los pelos son serpientes .Las tres piernas son los tres extremos de la isla.
