Jedburgh Abbey, Scottish Borders, Scotland.

            Jedburgh Abbey lies close to the centre of the Scottish border town 0f Jedburgh. It was founded, initially as a priory, by King David I in 1138. The abbey has had a very turbulent history being so close to the Scottish/English border and has repeatedly been in both countries hands over the centuries. Things have quieted now though, and the abbey makes  for a must place to visit in the Scottish Borders.
