Beldon Burn bridge - a photo on Flickriver

Beldon Burn bridge

            ...at Baybridge, near Blanchland in Northumberland. The burn flows into Derwent Reservoir, thereafter becoming the River Derwent, which marks the boundary between Northumberland and County Durham.

I've been here many times before, and often taken photographs of, and around, this bridge over Beldon Burn. However, this was the first time the burn was so low as to expose a 'beach' of small rocks and pebbles midstream, and what's more, I could reach it without having to 'plodge', as we say here in the north-east of England!

...hence this shot from right in front of one of the arches, with the water looking as though it's coming straight at me.

I thought it was a - just - different enough composition from my (many) previous efforts here to make it worth uploading.
