Flickriver

From Grandma

            I'm not certain whose grandmother this is.  Since Aunt Helen didn't know, I'm assuming it's either the mother of Helen's father, mother or stepfather, .i.e. Anthony Szejnrok's mother, Clara Szejnrok's mother (Marianna Dawid-Dzyban) or Felix Szczesny's mother (Anna Staszewska-Szczesny).

Based on her physical traits, I am guessing this is Marianna (Dawid) Dzyban, since she bears some resemblance to both my grandfather and his half-sister Helen, who had the same mother (Clara Dzyban), but different fathers.  Also, the boy beside her looks like a Dzyban.  Perhaps he is a son of Eva (Dzyban) Konior.

However, based on the recollections of the Polish word used for "grandma" on the back of the photo (paternal grandma vs. maternal grandma), this may be a photo of the mother of Anthony Szejnrok.
