            The Oval feature in the field is now incorporated in the wood because the field line has changed to the North. The field line shown here corresponds with the Dyke and bank found on site.  The fact that the oval is aligned east-west could mean it is an early Christian site or on an earlier cairn or burial mound.
 Allt Cul na Greine translates as far as I can tell to ''The Warm sunny burn'' or ''Pretty, sunny burn'' as opposed to the Allt Graad or Ugly Burn. Both Cul (Sun) and  Grinn (Pretty) or Grian (sunny, warm) seem to fit as Greine does not occur in McBains Dictionary. I stand to be corrected by the Gaelic speakers. I have since been advised that ''Cul'' means back so it could give ''The burn with its back to the Sun.'' It flows to North east.  On a walk with Archaeologists Cait MCCullagh and Allan MacKenzie we found the banks that make up the rectangular feature.
