Help! I've lost my head! - a photo on Flickriver

            Once upon a time there was a tripod, called 190PROB, which travelled with me through the Namib Desert, to the Finish Arctic Circle, the Swiss Alps, the Everglades, the Polish primeval forest, the Mongolian steppe, the Malagasy coast and many other places. It was well in use, but one day it happened, that one leg broke. So it had to be repaired. The people in the service shop took the tripod and gave me the centre column back to avoid a possible loss of the column during the shippingﾠﾅ
That day I met many different people and was at many different places. It began with the service shop in the morning. Then I was at work in the agency, at a meeting with two friends of our organization for protecting nature and at a birthday party of an old friend of mine at the Reeperbahn in Hamburg St.ﾠPauli, where we did a lot of dancing and drinking. During all that the center column was in my backpackﾗor letﾒs better say, it should be there. I came home late at night or early in the morning and fell asleep immediately. The next day the backpack was there, but there was no centre column inside. What had happened? I really did not know what had happened and whether I was coming or going, because - oh man I was drunk - there seemed to be a lapse in my memories. I searched my whole flat, asked all people I met, but there was no centre column.
That happened more than a year ago and the tripod has long since been repaired and come back. Of course, it has come back without the centre column to exclude the possible loss of the column during the shipping. The poor tripod has lost its head, because I had lost mine before.
