death throes of colonial house - a photo on Flickriver

            and I do believe this house to be colonial - post and beam construction - the foundation is not even *cut* granite but boulders - a few things to note - the right side of the picture is the main house - half of which has collapsed forward - the right side is still standing more-or-less - swingset in the foreground - would never have found this without google earth (surprisingly..as you usually can't see jack in the woods) - much of the basement is still crawlable - thinking about taking my detector down there and seeing if anybody has buried a cache - found the original well and barn - still looking for a privy (if existant) - I expect to find some 1800s bottles or coins around this spot if I look hard enough (though its hard to manuever through the brush - and it hasn't even grown in yet)
