Bee orchid - a photo on Flickriver

Bee orchid

            After last years complete failure on the orchid front at Summer Leys, I've managed to find some bee orchids this year. They are a lot earlier though so maybe I just missed them last year however, I couldn't find any evidence of them at all last year so I still think they might not have been there. There are still very few marsh orchids though (I could only find three and they are very small) so I think the hot weather we've had over the last couple of years has dried out the ground too much
