Colorado Highway 145 winding through the San Juan Mountains south of Rico, Colorado

This photo was taken during a hike along the Calico National Recreation Trail from the Priest Gulch Trailhead off Colorado Highway 145.

The Calico NRT is a pretty cool trail that runs from Highway 145 up to the area near "The Meadows" off the Dunton Road. We were there on a great early-fall weekend day and only saw one other hiker.... that's one of the things I love about the San Juans!
