Col. Hunter celebrates final flight as a U. S. Marine Corps pilot

            A U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, flies over Marine Corps Air Station Miramar during U.S. Marine Corps Col. Kevin G. Hunter’s final flight at MCAS Miramar, California, July 16, 2025. The final flight is a tradition that symbolizes Hunter’s last flight as a U.S. Marine Corps pilot and marked the culmination of his time as MAG-16's commanding officer, overseeing and directing expert flight instruction to both CH-53E and MV-22B aircrews and pilots from across the group.
