Flexible edge modules with 60° or 90°, hence any polyhedron with triangles and squares may be assembled. Here a snub cube. No glue, but not as stable as I like my models to be. Not that it falls apart, it just moves a bit when handling. 

Again used three colors but a different scheme: squares are one-coloured in a fashion like in a cube, i.e. opposite squares have the same colour. Triangles have all three colours.
