This area of Glen Waverley, off Coleman Parade, formed part of an orchard in the late 1880s belonging to the Muir family.

In the late 1950s it was developed into a works site for the Country Roads Board.

The area has in later years been redeveloped into a residential estate, called the Avendon Estate.
