A bit missing - a photo on Flickriver

A bit missing

            This pillar box stands at the corner of Victoria Road and Elton Road in Clevedon.  The characters cast into the door that indicate the monarch are simply "GR".  That can't possibly mean it dates from the reign of George I (1714-1727), especially since the first modern pillar box wasn't installed until 1853.
