Pete Jones (the keyboard player in this set) is basically a hugely talented one man band under the banner Tiger Moth Tales. He sings, plays guitar, keyboards/piano, drums, flute, saxophone (and other assorted instruments that you blow into) and writes amazing songs. He has been 100% blind since the age of 15 months. So impressed by him was Andy Latimer, that he now plays keyboards, sings and writes for prog superstars Camel. It's not all good though - he was an X-Factor finalist!

In this joint headliner, he was backed by Red Bazar, for whom he also plays keyboards. So, the gig was basically the same band, playing Tiger Moth Tales songs in one half, and Red Bazar in the other. That's why both bands look similar!

A Progressive Rock song about Trumpton sounds like the most naff idea ever. But for those that remember shows like Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley, this is basically a nostalgic harking back to how much simpler life was when we were young, as reflected in those shows : www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpnJmWEJVZg.

Lighting level was very low, and very red, thus poor quality. So these are more just 'record' shots. I wasn't going to upload this set, but since there's a finality to it for the Classic Rock Society, here they are.

Sadly this was to be my last ever Classic Rock Society gig. After 35 years of putting on many hundreds of gigs, the Classic Rock Society has closed its doors. Sad for may, but it has been a large part of my life for more than 30 years, and more than 1000 gigs including a great mixture of established known bands and up and coming bands. Wishbone Ash, Strawbs, Rick Wakeman, Steve Hackett, The Animals, Zombies/Argent, Nils Lofgren, Caravan, Camel, Focus, Greenslade, Climax Blues Band, Carl Palmer, John Wetton (King Crimson, Asia), Dream Theatre, Spocks Beard, to name just a tiny few. It was an honour to see those bands, and hundreds more within 3 miles of home.
I can't blame the organisers that have performed miracles with limited resources, more limited time and increased costs etc. etc. I certainly couldn't have done it.
It shall be sorely missed by many, but thank-you to all involved for a marvelous 35 years.
