Curious - a photo on Flickriver

Curious

            I had the most amazing experience with a Manatee yesterday.  I was standing on the dock and I could see about 15 of them playing about 50 feet down the shore line.  I ran down there and simply stood ready to take photos.  There was one Manatee in particular that was curious as to what I was doing,  he turned around and swam directly at me,  he was maybe 6 feet away from me and lifted his head as if he was saying hi.    After he gave me a quick second to get a couple of shots he turned again, rolled over on his back and floated away with his flippers on his belly.  I wish I was better at editing these photos,  It’s so hard to get the light and color on these just right.
