A view of "downtown" Westmount. - a photo on Flickriver

            This is a view of the portion of the wealthy enclave of Westmount that is adjacent to downtown Montreal, taken through trees at the edge of Marianopolis College's old campus'es sports field on the southwestern slope of Mount Royal.

You can see the dome of nearby Dawson College, in the former Mother House of the Congregation of Notre-Dame, as well as the western tower of Plaza Alexis Nihon, the Westmount Square office and residential complex, and various apartment towers.

If you want to be pedantic about city borders, some of the residential buildings in the foreground and to the left of the photo (as well as the trees through which I was looking) are technically within the boundaries of the city of Montreal proper, within a block or two of Westmount.
