Stars and Secrets II - a photo on Flickriver

            The Milky Way at Secret Beach in Samuel H Boardman State Scenic Corridor in Oregon, USA. The beach features a waterfall from Miller Creek that pours directly out onto the sand and into the ocean. In the right light, you can see stark contrasts and gradations in the water as they range from deep green tones to blue hues. Secret Beach also has a unique set of sea stacks (rock formations) between 50-200 yards from the sand. It gives the beach an enclosed feeling of privacy despite the large panoramic views it offers. Samuel J Boardman State Park on the southern Oregon coast is but a part of several geological wonders on the Oregon coast. The length of the park is 20 miles along the coast and that means 20 miles of spectacular beauty, coastal headlands, hiking trails and more.  Seaside prairies, spectacular vistas, secluded cove beaches, rugged cliffs and forested sea stacks come one after the other at this park.
