De maand juni had ook een paar mooie zonnige dagen in petto. Op één van die dagen had ik mij voorgenomen om de European Sleeper op foto te gaan zetten. Ook Wouter had hetzelfde plan opgevat al kwamen we met verschillende vervoersmiddelen naar het door ons uitgekozen fotopunt aan het afrittencomplex van Zemst.

Vooraleer de nachttrein opdook, hadden we nog recht op twee andere treinen. De eerste van die twee treinen was deze twintig minuten te laat rijdende Beneluxtrein van Amsterdam naar Brussel.

Met de (welisware trage) instroom van ICNG zal het ook geen jaren meer duren vooraleer deze klassieke gesleepte treinen verleden tijd zijn.

June 2023 guaranteed a couple of sunny and warm days. On one of them I decided to drive to Zemst for a picture of the European Sleeper from Berlin to Brussels. Before the night train showed up, I could photograph this more or less 20 minutes delayed Benelux train from Amsterdam to Brussels.
