HSL 185 578-2 @ Winningen - a photo on Flickriver

We keren nog eens terug naar onze mei-uitstap van 2023. Nadat Wouter en ik een tijdje langs de Rijn hadden doorgebracht — onder andere in het pittoreske Braubach — trokken we verder naar de spoorlijn in de Moezelvallei. In de wijngaarden bij Winningen wachtten we op treinen richting Trier, toen er plots een goederentrein uit de tegenovergestelde richting opdook. De zonnestand was misschien niet helemaal ideaal voor deze bonte containertrein, maar dankzij de zilverkleurige Akiem Traxx op kop valt dat volgens mij best mee. Als ik het goed heb, reed deze locomotief op dat moment voor HSL, al is dat bij huurlocs soms moeilijk te zeggen. Dus mocht iemand meer info hebben: laat maar weten! :-)

Let’s go back to our May 2023 trip. After spending some time along the Rhine — including a stop in Braubach — Wouter and I headed to the Moselle Valley line. While waiting in the vineyards near Winningen for trains toward Trier, a colorful freight came from the other direction. The light wasn’t perfect, but the silver Akiem Traxx up front made up for it. I believe it was running for HSL at the time, though with leased locos it’s hard to be sure — any extra info is welcome!
