            Part of the fortifications that protect the medieval town of Kotor.They include the city walls with gates and bastions,ramparts that ascend the mountain and castle of St.John,and supportive structures.Some date back toRoman and Byzantine times,but most of the fortifications were erected during Venetian rule.
The wall is 4.5 kilometres long and surrounds the complete medieval old town.
It is on the Unesco World Heritage list.
