Not an Assassin Bug (Reduviidae) but a Broad-headed Bug (Alydidae, Coreoidea)

I thought this was an athletic-looking Assassin Bug (Reduviidae, Heteroptera, Hemiptera) hanging on a twig in the Oregon woods, but I'm wrong. Thanks to Alice Abela I believe it is a Broad-headed Bug in the family Alydidae of the superfamily Coreoidea. As Alice says in her comment, it might be a Lupine Bug (Megalotomus quinquespinosus). At least I did notice the distinctive spiny femur.

In my favor, it sure does look (superficially) like an Assassin Bug! I guess it's a male with that slender abdomen. (I saw them mating, and the females are larger with eggs.) I found them mostly on (or near, like this one) non-native Perennial Sweet Pea (Lathyrus latifolius) in the Fabaceae plant family. (Near Susan Creek, North Umpqua River, Oregon, 19 August 2014)
