Odd insect on webbing - a Thread-legged Bug?

Start with the photo on the right which shows interesting spider webbing on a stalk of Southern Bush Monkeyflower (Mimulus aurantiacus var. pubescens aka Diplacus longiflorus, Phrymaceae). I believe this frizzy webbing is the work of a cribellate species of Mesh Web Weaver in the family Dictynidae, see this photo for more info. Now look in the top-left of that photo - spot the insect? I didn't see it until I got the photo up on my computer screen. I went back the next day and got the photo on the left. When I tried to nudge the insect into a better position, it fell apart as I touched it - it was just a husk. I'm not sure, but I think it might be a Thread-legged Bug in the subfamily Emesinae of the Assassin Bugs (Reduviidae), possibly genus Empicoris and maybe the species Empicoris rubromaculatus. I have another photo here, but I rarely see them. I know that some of these bugs steal prey from spider webs which could explain where I found it, see this photo.
