Yellow Tulip - a photo on Flickriver

Yellow Tulip

            It started as a yellow tulip and I suppose I could have kept it as a yellow tulip because that in itself would have qualified as a monochrome.  However, I wanted to include some very dark contrast and shadow and so using the image straight out of the camera would have meant that the contrast/shadow would appear "black" and this challenge did not allow that.

This image was post processed in Photoshop to remove all colour and then, working with the green channel, reintroduce a single hue.
