10. butterfly (calm and peaceful) - a photo on Flickriver

A pole dancing routine by the dancers who call themselves the Butterflies. Here is a third of the troupe. Really chatty and great company. I took a few minutes to exchange a few words. She's from Singapore and she's gonna be back in Kuala Lumpur for a pole-dancing competition in December. She made me promise (in a subtle way) that I would come see. I guess I had no choice but to say yes. This is one of the things I like about my work- I get to talk to all sorts of people about all sorts of things.

My project of public portraits. I've given myself a project of photographing different people from all walks of life. The project requires me to get a little information about what they do or why they were there. Its a little inquisition to the people I share my environment with. The numeral preceding the title indicates the photograph number in the sequence.
