SNCF 467494 + 467629 @ Quévy 🇧🇪

Na doortocht van de containertrein naar Somain kon het aftellen naar de ballasttrein nu helemaal beginnen. In Hennuyères zit die ballasttrein namelijk een dik half uur achter deze containertrein. Ik moest dus nog een 30-tal minuten geduld oefenen - wat me net genoeg tijd gaf om mijn boekje helemaal uit te lezen ;-)

Na dertig minuten was er evenwel nog steeds geen sprake van de ballasttrein. Die 30 minuten werden er snel 45 minuten toen er plots aan de horizon witte lichten verschenen… Die witte lichten verdwenen echter even snel als ze gekomen waren... het zou toch geen zinsbegoocheling geweest zijn zeker? Maar neen hoor, na een ontroestingsrit door het station van Quévy (op de foto net achter de brug) konden de motoren van de diesels opnieuw volop brullen om de trein de laatste meters op Belgisch grondgebied te laten aflefggen!
