DBAG 218 343-2 + 218 495-0 @ Eriskirch 🇩🇪

Goed, in ons hotelarrangement zat dus niet alleen een kaartje voor drie dagen vrij gebruik van de boten op de Bodensee, maar ook een gratis fiets voor één dag, zoals ik hier al eens had vermeld .

Ik haastte me dan ook na de doortocht van deze IC 118 terug naar de promenade waar mijn vrouw me zat op te wachten, klaar om een fietstochtje te maken langs de oevers en het hinterland van de Bodensee.

Onnodig te zeggen dat ik de fietstocht zo had gepland dat we rond 15u30 aan een overweg in Eriskirch stonden waar ik dan deze IC 119 kon fotograferen die perfect op tijd mijn lens passeerde op zijn weg richting Lindau en het Oostenrijkse Innsbruck.

Nachdem ich den IC 118 nach Münster (Westf) aufs Bild setzte, wanderte ich zurück zu meiner Frau und war es Zeit für einen Fahrradtour.

Wir liehen also einen Fahrrad im Hotel und radelten der Bodensee entlang und machten auch einen Abstecher ins Hinterland!

Und ja, am richtingen Moment waren wir am BÜ in Eriskirch und da konnte ich den Starzug der Südbahn nochmals fotografieren, dieses Mal in Richtung Lindau!

In the afternoon, we went for a ride on a bycicle. We drove via Eriskirch and there I could take - for the second time that day - a picture of the undisputed star of the Bodenseegürtelbahn: IC 118/119. Here you can see IC 119 from Münster to Innsbruck (A), hauled on this stretch by two BR 218 class diesel locos - 218 343 and 218 495 - and consisting of a rake of Austrian coaches.
