Met spijt in het hart verliet ik het uitzichtspunt in Thürmsdorf en zette via Bad Schandau koers richting de Duits-Tsjechische grens.

ik wou namelijk - voor de eerste keer - eens in het station van Schmilka-Hirschmühle geraken. Voor het zover was, moest ik wel eerst de overzetboot nemen en omdat die bij aankomst net aan de andere kant van de - laagstaande - Elbe lag, profiteerde ik er nog snel van om de aanstormende S1 van 9u20 op foto te zetten met het fraaie massief van de Schrammsteine als achtergrond. Na een korte stop zal deze S-Bahn een drietal minuten later in Schöna - het eindstation van deze S-Bahn - aankomen.

Ich verließ das Thürmsdorfer Aussichtspunkt und fuhr nach Schmilka. Vor ich dort die Fähre nahm, konnte ich zuerst die S-Bahn in Richtung Schöna fotografieren mit den Schrammsteinen als Hintergrundkulisse.

I left my viewing point in Thürmsdorf and drove to Schmilka. Before I took the ferry to the station, I was able to photograph this S-Bahn from Meißen to Schöna with the so called 'Schrammsteine' (these are rocks) in the background.
