DBAG 245 037 @ Hoyren 🇩🇪 - a photo on Flickriver

Na het geslaagde begin van de avond in de vorm van deze BR 218 trok ik beetje bij beetje verder richting Lindau.

Volgende puntje op mijn lijst was het uitzichtpunt aan het 'Fürst Otto von Bismarck-Denkmal' in Hoyren. Van hieruit heb je niet alleen een schitterend uitzicht op een deel van Lindau maar vooral ook op de 'Bregenzer Bucht' (zeg maar het Oostenrijkse deel van de Bodensee) met de Pfänder als herkenningspunt (de rood-witte mast ongeveer boven het stuurstandrijtuig van de trein) en ook op de Alpen van Vorarlberg tot aan de Arlberg toe! En eigenlijk sta je hier gewoon een verdieping lager dan voor het zicht vanop het terras van de villa Hoyerberg en toch lijkt het een heel ander uitzicht!

Het was nu alleen nog maar wachten op de volgende RE (in het gezelschap van de plaatselijke jeugd trouwens). De RE kwam deze keer uit de richting van Stuttgart, maar dat maakte niet zoveel uit op deze plek.
Geduwd door de moderne dieseltraxx van de reeks 245 moet de trein hier enkel nog de bocht ronden richting Bodensee-dam om dan het eindstation van Lindau Hbf te bereiken.

Ein toller Blick findet man am Fürst Otto von Bismarck-Denkmal im Lindauer Stadtteil Hoyren: nicht nur kann man hier den Bregenzer Bucht, den Pfänder und die Alpen bis zum Arlberg beobachten, nein, auch die RE zwischen Stuttgart und Lindau kann man hier fotografieren ;-)

A great view can be found at the Prince Otto von Bismarck monument in the Lindau district of Hoyren: from here, you can admire on the one hand the Bregenz Bay, the Pfänder and the Alps up to the Arlberg, and on the other hand, you can also take a picture of a regional express train from Stuttgart to Lindau ;-)
