ICE 4611 DBAG @ Goffontaine - a photo on Flickriver

            Eén van mijn grote doelen was de doortocht van de ICE - schitterende treinstellen trouwens - naar Frankfurt/Main. Aangezien deze treinen vanaf 14 juni 2009 de nieuwe HSL3 tussen Chenée en Welkenraedt zouden gaan berijden, was het dus een van de laatste kansen om deze stellen nog eens op L37 te vereeuwigen.
Ondertussen is dit beeld dus geschiedenis: de passagiers van de ICE's zoeven nu langs de autosnelweg tussen Luik en Welkenraedt. Snelheid heeft dus soms ook z'n nadelen. Maar op 1 juni konden wij - en de passagiers - nog genieten van het pittoreske dal van de Vesder.
