TCS 186 291 @ Weerde 🇧🇪 - a photo on Flickriver

Woensdag 27 maart 2023... alweer een primeur voor het Belgische spoor want voor de eerste keer kwam de "European Sleeper" van Train Charter Services niet meer vanuit Berlin Hbf maar was de trein op dinsdagavond 26 maart vertrokken in Praha hl.n. De trein verbindt op die manier vier Europese hoofdsteden (Praag, Berlijn, Amsterdam en Brussel) en doet zijn naam dus alle eer aan!

Die eerste rit van de trein met maar liefst 12 rijtuigen, wou ik absoluut niet missen en dus stond mijn wekker extra vroeg voor een treinritje van Halle naar Weerde en daaropvolgende wandeling naar de brug over de E19. Mooi op tijd stond ik paraat voor de doortocht van de nachttrein vanuit Praag die picobello op tijd mijn lens kruiste met een leuk locje voorop!

Om de langdurige samenwerking tussen Lineas en Train Charter Services voor de European Sleeper te benadrukken werd afgelopen week namelijk de Traxx-locomotief 186 291 in een gezamenlijke kleurstelling gestoken (dit is al de vierde livrei voor deze loc trouwens, na METRANS, LINΞΛS zonder Belgisch vlagje en LINΞΛS met Belgisch vlagje).
De loc met landenpakket voor NL/BE/DE/AT/CZ/SK kan de nachttrein trouwens over de hele rit slepen (best indrukwekkend!) en kreeg dan ook de eer om deze nieuwe verbinding in te rijden!

Maiden trip for this TCS (Train Charter Services) 186 291 in this new livery with the first "European Sleeper" from Prague to Brussels. Untill March 25, 2024, this train had Berlin as departure station but from now on, the European Sleeper comes from Prague, also serving on its way from Prague to Berlin Hbf the railway stations from Praha-Holesovice, Ústí nad Labem, Děčín, Bad Schandau, Dresden Hbf, Dresden Neustadt and Berlin-Ostbahnhof.

To emphasize the long-term collaboration between Lineas and Train Charter Services for the European Sleeper, Traxx locomotive 186 291 was given a joint livery last week. The locomotive with country package for NL/BE/DE/AT/CZ/SK can pull the night train over the entire journey (quite impressive!) and was therefore given the honor of driving the first train of this new connection!
