TSP 5519 @ Tamines 🇧🇪 - a photo on Flickriver

Op zaterdag 15 juni 2024 organiseerde TSP (Toerisme en SpoorPatrimonium) sinds lang (10 jaar geleden werden ritten met historisch materieel op het Belgische spoorwegnet plots onmogelijk door een administratieve dwaling - zie comment Kristof Avonds hieronder 🙏) nog eens een excursierit over een groot deel van het Belgische spoorwegnet met hun zeer fraai opgeknapte 5519 waarbij ook NMBS 2715 achteraan meegenomen werd als angstlocomotief. Jammer genoeg moest de 2715 ook effectief tegen de draad om de rijtuigen van verwarming te voorzien (wat dus in eerste instantie gebeurde via de 5519 - met dank aan Nick voor de info vanuit de trein 🙏).

In de voormiddag kon ik helaas niets met deze trein omdat ik voor een laatste keer dit schooljaar op zaterdag voor de klas stond. Maar de namiddag stond wel met stip genoteerd in de agenda.

In de namiddag reed de trein vanuit Luik via de vallei van de Maas tot in Namen om daar via de vallei van de Samber richting Auvelais te sporen. In Auvelais werd naar lijn 147 gewisseld om richting Fleurus te sporen.
Lijn 147 wordt in principe alleen gebruikt door goederentreinen die vanaf de Athus-Meuse richting Antwerpen sporen.

Ik koos er dan ook voor om aan deze lijn 147 mijn eerste foto te maken en vond dit leuke plekje met openstaande slagboom in Tamines wat ik toch wel symbolisch vond want eindelijk is de weg weer vrij om met excursietreinen op het Infrabel-netwerk te rijden!

Wie wil genieten van de GM-motoren (de lijn stijgt hier namelijk vanuit de vallei van de Samber) klikt op dit filmpje en zet het volume maar goed open 😄

Saturday, June 15, 2024, TSP (Tourism and Rail Heritage) organized an excursion trip over a large part of the Belgian railway network with their very beautifully renovated 5519, which also included NMBS 2715 at the back to provide the carriages with heating.

I therefore chose to take my first photo on railway line 147 (normally seen, there are only freight trains here) and found this nice spot with an open barrier in Tamines, which I thought was symbolic because the road is finally open again to travel with excursion trains on the Infrabel network!
