Vijf uur voordat we deze ICE1 (door de Duitsers liefkozend 'Weißwurst' genoemd) in Boppard op de digitale chip konden vastleggen, hadden we ook al even het magische licht kunnen vangen bij de doortocht van deze gemengde goeederentrein.

Dit plaatje ontstond trouwens op goed geluk want we waren eigenlijk van plekje aan het wisselen nadat we eerder in Bad Breisig hadden gestaan (bestemming van de rit was Mendig). Maar tijdens de rit op de B9 zagen we dat het sein op groen sprong voor treinen richting het zuiden. Toen ook de zon door de wolken priemde, was het dus duidelijk: auto snel aan de kant en hopen op een leuke trein. En die kwam dus ook 😇

Five hours before we could take a picture of this ICE1 in Boppard, we could have also captured the magical light during the passage of this mixed freight train.

This picture came about by chance because we were actually changing places after having previously been in Bad Breisig (destination of the ride was Mendig). But during the ride on the B9 we saw that the signal turned green for trains heading south. When the sun also peeked through the clouds, it was clear: quickly pull the car aside and hope for a nice train. And so it came too 😇
